About Us

Founded in 2008, Worcester Music Festival is a free, city-wide celebration of live music and creativity. Over the course of three days, the festival hosts more than 250 performances while raising money for local charities and welcoming thousands of visitors from across the UK.

Events take place in venues throughout Worcester city centre, including pubs, cafés, bars, and more unconventional spaces such as tattoo studios. The festival is a grassroots, volunteer-led initiative that brings together artists, promoters, technicians, and audiences in support of Worcester’s thriving music scene.

Each year, the festival attracts thousands of applications from musicians and bands eager to perform. In 2024, we received over 1,500 artist submissions and delivered 253 performances across 22 venues, coordinated by 30 promoters and supported by 50 volunteer organisers.

Worcester Music Festival has hosted performances by well-known artists including Nigel Clark, [Spunge], Jason Bowld, Jon Gomm, and Peace (formerly November and The Criminal), while continuing to champion emerging talent from Worcester and beyond.

The festival is dedicated to creating meaningful opportunities for emerging and independent musicians, supporting Worcester’s grassroots venues, and raising funds for local charities.

With thousands of attendees each year, the event provides a powerful platform for artists to grow their audience, for local businesses to increase visibility, and for our chosen charity (Worcester Snoezelen for 2025) to gain vital exposure and receive generous donations from festival-goers.
