From junk percussion to a piano accordion masterclass and jam session, educational, inspirational and entertaining workshops for all ages and abilities are a huge part of the festival, and in a new move for this year, organisers are unveiling a line-up of dance workshops, from Appalachian clog dancing and gothic tribal belly dance to salsa for toddlers.

Also putting on a workshop for the first time are the popular Worcester Ukulele Club, who will be hosting a two-and-a-half hour morning beginner’s workshop to familiarise complete beginners with the basics, but make sure you reserve your place as they will go fast.

Top-notch venues for the festival’s gigs and workshops are part of what makes the event such a success and organisers this year welcome on board The Pavilion In The Park, Tramps, Velvet Lounge and the Pump House Environment Centre in Gheluvelt Park.

The eco-centre will be hosting fun craft workshops for little ones to create their own musical instruments during this year’s festival, and, to top it off, the centre has even arranged for a dedicated pedicab to cycle visitors over to the city beauty spot.

And, the added beauty is that everything is absolutely free with no tickets required.
