{"id":3640,"date":"2024-01-14T13:53:19","date_gmt":"2024-01-14T13:53:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.worcestermusicfestival.co.uk\/?p=3640"},"modified":"2025-09-09T01:45:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T01:45:11","slug":"charity-applications-open-for-worcester-music-festival-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.worcestermusicfestival.co.uk\/features\/charity-applications-open-for-worcester-music-festival-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Charity Applications Open for Worcester Music Festival 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Worcester Music Festival has announced that applications are now open for charities to apply to be this year\u2019s chosen cause.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Every year, the festival selects a different local charity to support, raising both money and awareness over the course of the three-day event, which, in 2024, will take place across the <strong>13th-15th September<\/strong> in Worcester\u2019s lively city centre. <strong>Applications must be in by 10<sup>th<\/sup> February 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>During the 2023 event, the weekend-long celebration of music had an incredible impact on the year\u2019s charity: The Myriad Centre. Alongside raising a staggering \u00a35,345.90, the festival showcased the charity\u2019s vital work to thousands of festival-goers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ant Robbins, Festival Director, commented:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe had an amazing festival in 2023, raising the most amount of money over the weekend in the festival\u2019s history. The Myriad Centre carries out vital work in the local area, providing specialist care for young people with serious disabilities and an emotional lifeline for their families. Having seen first-hand the impact this charity has on its service users, we are incredibly proud to have been able to support their ongoing work.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Em Branson, Marketing Director, added: <\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>\u201cAs we gear up for the 2024 Worcester Music Festival, we&#8217;re searching for a cause that matters. Charities, this is your cue! We&#8217;re all about supporting our community, and invite all charitable causes in Worcestershire to apply &#8211; your cause could be the one we rally behind this year!\u201d <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Charities are invited to complete the <a href=\"#arffrm_108_container\">festival\u2019s application form<\/a>, providing information on what they do, who they help, and, most importantly, if there is a specific project they\u2019re working on and need support with. In previous years, the festival has supported Worcester Community Trust, Worcester Foodbank and Worcestershire Association of Carers.<\/p>\n<p>Every year, the festival relies on generous contributions from the public to raise money for the chosen cause. Charity donation tins are placed across the festival&#8217;s 20 venues, and a creative team, dressed in an eye-catching array of costumes, are always out with donation buckets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Applications to be the charity of the year 2024 have now closed.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Worcester Music Festival has announced that applications are now open for charities to apply to be this year\u2019s chosen cause.
