About Children's Concert
Helen Russell and the Express Yourself Show Tunes Choir introduce children of all ages to the joys of hearing live music in a warm, friendly and welcoming way. The children (and parents) will be encouraged to sing and dance along with the choir and play musical games. They can even dress up as their favourite character! Children of all ages are welcome, even crying babies! This is a fun musical experience for them to share with you - perfect for bonding and creating treasured memories. All ages welcome, very family friendly but no lift at St Swithun's Institute so pushchairs will need carrying up the stairs. Reserve place at: workshops@worcestermusicfestival.co.uk with a return email address, participant name and phone number or take your chances on the day!

Helen Russell is a Worcester-based music teacher who, for the past three years, has run the highly successful Express Yourself Community Choirs at Lyppard Grange Community Centre in Worcester. The choirs have a 'no audition, no minimum ability' policy, and members come from all over Worcestershire. The choirs make fantastic music and Helen creates a warm and friendly environment for previously reluctant singers to be nurtured and encouraged.
The Express Yourself family consists of Pop Choir, Show Tunes Choir and Glee Club. Helen also runs the fabulous Crowngate Community Choir at the Elgar School of Music, and teaches piano and singing to children and adults around Worcester.
