MAS Records
MAS Records are looking for bands.
MAS are looking particularly for around 10 bands aged between 16 - 19 for the new MAS Records scheme starting in September. With the bands receiving all of the help described below. We can also look at bands aged over 19, but we are quite keen on this 16 -19 age group from around the Worcestershire area.
MAS records is very excited to be involved with The Worcester Music Festival.

MIGHTY ATOM SMASHER RECORDS is an independent record label and development programme founded in 2001, with Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin) and Karl Hyde (Underworld) as its patrons. The label is based in Kidderminster, but also operates in centres across the Midlands.
The label's aim is to support the development of music in the Midlands and provide emerging artists with a bridge into the creative industries. This initiative is unique because it combines expert music industry knowledge and experience with conventional training and education.
The artists on the MAS Records Scheme do not pay for our services, and funding comes from our education grants.
MAS Records will provide all of our artists with - free weekly rehearsals, free recording (with top producers), free marketing, free business plan mentoring, contacts to place your music with labels, managers, publishers and producers.
Mas records also arranges free industry seminars with top music industry personal like Emma Scott (Ex Kerrang Radio) and Martin Atkins (Tour Smart)
Past highlights for MAS have included -
In 2006 M.A.S. Records was presented with the European Social Fund Award for Learning Achievements, and in 2008 the Rockschool sponsored National Music Award from Access To Music in recognition of the label’s outstanding achievement, standards, and quality of provision.
M.A.S. Records has continued to highlight the rich musical heritage of the Midlands region, with material produced by such acclaimed producers as Joe Gibb (Stereophonics, Funeral For A Friend, Catatonia), Gavin Monaghan (Ryan Adams, Scott Matthews, Kings Of Leon) and John A. Rivers (Dead Can Dance, Ocean Colour Scene).
We have also developed many productive relationships with radio, regularly having MAS features (BBC Hereford & Worcester, Kerrang! Radio)
From 2008-2009 MAS also produced a live weekly TV show for SKY Television company RED TV. The show showcased MAS Records artists in a live studio situation.
In 2010 M.A.S. Records teamed up with Access To Music and Rockschool, Ltd. to showcase their emerging bands at South By South West (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, the largest music industry festivals in the world.

The Arcadian Kicks
Worked with the MAS development scheme during 2008/09 and have now gone on to play the Isle of Wight festival, performed live on Sky Television, secured management with Jon Brookes (The Charlatans) and recieved single distribution with EMI Records.
The Lines
Worked with MAS in 2007/08, have performed live on Sky Television and played gigs across Europe, Russia and the rest of the world. The band showcased to Warner, Sony and have picked up professional management.
