Judging panel
Worcester Music Festival would like to thank the judging panel of the photography completion.
Joe Singh
Joe Singh is a freelance photographer based in Worcester.
As an active musician for over 20 years throughout the UK, my progression into live music photography was natural and allowed me to explore the perception and enjoyment of performance from an audience’s perspective as well as on stage. I am still part of the music scene within Worcester, working with graphic designers, videographers, musicians, engineers and artists. As photographer, I am part of the team that produces the Friday session for BBC Hereford and Worcester Introducing. I shoot regularly for AfterDark magazine, Midnight Mixtape and Emma Scott covering a variety of UK summer festivals and gigs. I am also the resident photographer at Worcester Swan Theatre. My website www.snaprockandpop.co.uk and Facebook page showcases a lot of this work.
In addition to music I also work as a wedding and portrait photographer at www.jpsinghphotography.co.uk and am now accepting increasing corporate work from graphic design companies and the like.
Steve Johnston
Steve Johnston is a Worcester based freelance music photographer. During the 90's he was the bass player with local rock bands Power Mad & Dr Nasty and official venue photographer for The Northwick Theatre.
With 20 years involvement in live music and a degree in photography - Steve regularly contributes reviews and photographs to the Worcester News. He has photographed the likes of: Iron Maiden, KISS, Rush, B.B. King, McFly, Joe Satriani and Slayer.
A photograph taken by Steve at Jason Bowld's drum clinic during Worcester Music Festival 2009 was shortlisted in the NME Photo Awards 2010; and an image taken at Bloodstock 2010 won Steve the prestigious Gibson Guitars / Sonisphere Festival Photography Competition 2011.
