STEVE is lead singer and guitarist in Worcester-based pop / rock band Stuntdog, which played at WMF 2011.

The five-piece band combines pop, punk and ska with a large dose of rock and a hint of psychedelia and prog. Think Pink Floyd meets David Bowie meets Talking Heads...

How would you describe yourself?

Fat and twitchy.

How would you describe your music?

Quite fat progpopadelia, with a bit of twitchiness.

Which song would you dump in room 101?

There are so many, to be honest. Anything with 'Jagger' in the song title, but, I suppose, 'I can't dance' by Genesis would have to go in. The reason for this is quite simple. 'Watcher of the Skies', Firth of Fifth', 'The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway', 'Fly on a Windshield'...'I CAN'T DANCE'.

Who is your inspiration?

Aaron Freeman (AKA Gene Ween) from American band Ween. True genius.

What annoys you most?

Dog poo.

What's your favourite pudding?

Apple crumble with custard.

Are you in love?

Yes, I am.

Do you have a reccurring dream? If so, what is it?

I used to have a recurring dream about a girl I didn't know. Then, I met her working on the reception of a VW dealership. It was quite uneventful and I stopped dreaming about her. I do have lots of anxiety dreams about trying to find someone, something or somewhere, but just can't seem to get it. Irritating.

Where did you play at Worcester Music Festival?

Last year, I played Drummonds and The Cricketers with Stuntdog and The Old Rectifying House with Marie-Claire Berreen.

What was the experience like?

Always love the festival, but last year was really nice and I got to see some great acts too. Eligh Toadd and The SpoonFedz were my stand out bands.
