The Poor Boys of Worcester are a six piece skiffle band originally formed in the cruel winter of 1894. Destitute, cold and hungry they made their own instruments from coffin lids and started to frequent Beer Houses playing music in return for fine ale. An arrangement that was cut short following the now legendary incident with a polar bear. When the original band members passed away their places were taken up by their first born-the latest incarnation are the grandsons of the original line up.
