About Betty & The Id

Betty & The Id formed in 2007 creating a sound that marries 60's Garage Punk aggression with Post Punk inventiveness, occasionally veering into space rock passages when the mood takes them. A loud and intense live experience has been honed since then. They released the Neutron World EP in 2008 and their debut album "The Wrong Side Of Everything" in 2009. The album was recorded at the legendary Toe Rag analogue studio in Hackney in just two days! Since then they have released the Skeletons mini-cd and been named in the top 15 bands in the Midlands by Chris Brumcast whose podcasts chronicle, John Peel style, the underground music scene in the Midlands.Betty & The Id are Antony Cook (Drums), Simon Maragh (Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals), Allan R Murphy (Guitar,Bass Guitar) and Jim Smith (Guitar, Vocals)
