During the 2010 Worcester Music Festival we raised £5470 for Worcester Wheels and The  Worcester Snoezelen Centre.

Worcester Wheels

Worcester Wheels is a community transport service for the elderly, disabled and people unable to use public transport. The service uses registered volunteers in their own cars and / or our own specially adapted minibuses.

The type of journeys undertaken by the scheme can include visits to the Doctor, Optician, Chiropodist, Hospital appointments, or visits to the shops or friends.

Worcester Snoezelen

The Worcester Snoezelen Centre is a registered charity providing a leisure therapy centre for people who have disabilities.

The concept behind ‘Snoezelen’ therapy is to promote stimulation and relaxation in a therapeutic environment at whatever level is appropriate for the individual. Their priority is simple:
People should have fun and enjoy themselves in whatever way they feel comfortable, without demands or the pressure to achieve.’
Around 450 people visit the centre each week from the whole region, thus proving what a necessary and unique service The Worcester Snoezelen Centre has become.
